Member Classifications

 

CREIA Member Classifications are very detailed and specific to the designation in which they are representing. Each classification has a set of prerequisites to obtain their membership status and undergo constant education.

 

Associate

The Associate member is a pre-certified inspector and in some cases, inspectors-in-training.

 


 CERTIFIED CREIA INSPECTOR (CCI)

altCertified CREIA Inspector Members (CCI): attend at least two (2) chapter meetings and completed (60) Continuing Education Credits;  have passed and completed the National Home Inspector Examination; have completed (2) fee paid inspections and had them reviewed; performed (2) Ride Alongs with a CREIA Certified Trainer and have participated and passed in a CREIA Standards of Practice group inspection. Once a CCI status is achieved, members must uphold and maintain (30) Continuing Education Credits every year that they wish to stay with CREIA.

 


 MASTER CREIA INSPECTOR (MCI)

altA Master CREIA Inspector (MCI) is the highest and most difficult classification that can be obtained through the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA). This designation is only given to those inspectors that have been a member in good standing for 2 years, obtained over 250 hours of additional training/education, performed over 1000 inspections and have successfully passed the 4-part Residential Combination Inspector, California Residential Combination Inspector OR Combination Dwelling Inspector exam(s), taken through the International Code Council Examination (ICC). Master CREIA Inspectors (MCI) must also uphold (30) Continuing Education Credits for each year that they are with CREIA.

 

 


CREIA CERTIFIED TRAINER (CCT)

A CREIA Certified Trainer (CCT) has met the requirements established by Board of Directors to lead, guide and teach the CREIA inspection community. A CREIA Certified Trainer assists on Ride Alongs, Standards of Practice group inspections and attend regular Chapter meetings. Our certified trainers are of extreme value to CREIA due to increasing membership the high standard of education. CREIA is looking and calling to new leaders that will lead a new generation of education and technology in the real estate inspection profession.

 

 


Affiliate - Standard

A Standard Affiliate member is a person or company/corporation engaged in a business related to the real estate inspection profession, or a person or company who supplies products and/or business services to the real estate inspection profession. Affiliates have no voting, referral or logo use privileges but do receive membership discounts for advertising, mailing labels and exhibition space at CREIA conferences, seminars and symposiums.

 


Affiliate - Premier Educational

altA Premier Educational Affiliate is also is a person or company/corporation engaged in a business related to the real estate inspection profession, or a person or company who supplies products and/or business services to the real estate inspection profession. Affiliates have no voting, referral or logo use privileges but do receive membership discounts for advertising, mailing labels and exhibition space at CREIA conferences, seminars and symposiums. The Educational Affiliate designation is geared towards specialized education sources that provide education for CREIA members at no cost for review, and Continuing Education Request Review fee(s) are waived for this designation.

 


Affiliate - Premier

A Premier Affiliate is  most beneficial package specifically geared toward significantly reduced rates at conferences, Inspector Journals, eNews and Chapter advertising. A Premier Educational Affiliate is also is a person or company/corporation engaged in a business related to the real estate inspection profession, and/or a person or company who supplies products and/or business services to the real estate inspection profession. Premier Affiliates also have no voting, referral or logo use privileges.
