Welcome to the LA / Ventura County Chapter website of CREIA!

The Certified CREIA Inspectors (CCI’s) of the Los Angeles / Ventura County Chapter (LAVC) have a daunting task of covering the second-largest city in the country as well as the surrounding areas in adjoining Ventura County. LA County has a population of over 9.5 million residents and Ventura County is home to another 1.5 million. The land area of the city of LA alone is 467 sq. miles. With over 600 miles of freeway in LA and Ventura counties, LAVC inspectors service some of the most beautiful and diverse areas in the world.

From the humble beginnings as the Pueblo of the Queen of Angeles in 1835, the modern Los Angeles area has developed into a varied amalgamation of 88 separate cities and communities with 81 miles of Pacific coastline, 3 major mountain ranges, and 4 riverways. The LA area boasts one of the busiest seaports in the world, services over 80 million airline passengers yearly, has 188 colleges and universities, and the tallest building in the world between Chicago and Southeast Asia, the Library Tower.

Many say the beautiful weather here, with over 329 days a year of sunshine, an average of only 15 inches of rain per year, and a mean temperature of 66 degrees in January, one of the reasons for the LA region's spectacular growth. Others would say it is the opportunities that abound in high tech manufacturing, government and business, the entertainment industry, and small businesses that have brought residents to the area from over 140 countries, speaking 88 different languages.

From Burbank to Hollywood, from Beverly Hills to Malibu, from the communities of the San Fernando Valley to the groves of Ventura, home building and resales are strong and predicted to remain so. LAVC home inspectors are accustomed to inspecting a wide and diverse range of styles of home and unique geographical type of site. Realtors know that LAVC CREIA Certified Inspectors (CCI) and Master CREIA Inspectors (MCI) are trained and experienced to provide the highest quality inspection reports in accordance with the CREIA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

As a leader in special Tool Box seminars designed to promote in-depth education of its members and encourage Continuing Education for new inspectors and seasoned professionals as well, the LAVC is committed to helping make your pre-sale inspection, resale purchase, or new home inspection professional and to the highest standards in the inspection industry.
