Welcome to the Tri-Counties Chapter of CREIA

The Tri-Counties Chapter is full service community with its major cities being Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Agoura, Agoura Hills and Old Agoura all nestled in a lush green valley. The Conejo Valley is approximately 45 miles north of down town Los Angeles off the 101 freeway. The Tri-Counties Chapter is a mixture of modern architecture and historic buildings. There is an artistical culture with the introduction of the Tri-Counties' first Civic Arts Plaza located in downtown Thousand Oaks which offers various forms of art and theatrical venues. We also have an eclectic array of shops and restaurants for every shopping and dining pleasure. The most influential business in the Tri-County area is Amgen, a Pharmaceutical Company based in Newbury Park’s Business Park.

The Conejo Valley Chapter was established in the spring of 1998. Our first meeting was held in a Denny’s restaurant in Thousand Oaks with approximately 15 Inspectors present for the meeting. We have changed locations of our meetings several times due to the growth of our membership during the last 6 years, but have always kept the spirit of CREIA alive with each change. Our Chapter membership has continually grown over the years and is now 52 members strong and growing all the time. With the continued support of our members the Conejo Valley chapter has thrived and meets a much needed service to the communities it serves. With the presence of a local Chapter the consumer will now have the benefit of an Inspector who is first and foremost Educated in the field of Real Estate Inspections and second most of the inspectors know and live in the areas they serve. We have recently merged with several different chapters to form The Tri-Counties Chapter: Serving Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties.

All of our members have passed a stringent test from the California Real Estate Inspection Association(CREIA) to become Certified CREIA Inspectors (CCI) with a few of our members taking advance Education and testing to become Master CREIA Inspectors (MCI).

Education is the key to becoming Real Estate Inspectors on the cutting edge of this industry. The Tri-Counties Chapter of CREIA is dedicated to this principle with our informative monthly educational meetings on various topics involving the Real Estate Inspection industry. We welcome all Real Estate Inspectors to our meetings regardless of whether they are a member or not. Remember the key to making the Real Estate Inspection Industry on the cutting edge is to make education available to all Inspectors with the hope that they will become a Certified CREIA Inspector (CCI) and to hopefully some day further their education to become a Master CREIA Inspector (MCI). Many of our members have gone on to serve on the CREIA State Board of Directors in various capacities including President. Our chapter members support the California Coalition of Home Inspectors.
